Swatch ID Gains a Focused Product Demonstration

Reorganized Swatch ID around a concise video demonstration and a human-reviewed visual-search workflow for upholstery fabrics.

Swatch ID gained a short product demonstration focused on AI-powered fabric identification rather than generic image recognition. The video shows photographed upholstery samples moving through visual embeddings and local catalog retrieval to ranked match candidates for human review.

The public case study was reorganized around a clear product definition, the embedded YouTube demonstration, the fabric-identification problem, a product screenshot, the lookup workflow, engineering details, and practical use cases. The existing project route was preserved and site metadata was updated.

Internal status panels, public-framing notes, asset needs, lessons-learned sections, and future-step language were removed from the flagship page. The result is deliberately framed as a catalog match candidate rather than autonomous identification, with confidence-oriented feedback supporting the review step.

This refresh moved the page from research documentation toward a concise applied-AI product story. The demonstration communicates the practical visual-search workflow quickly while the case study retains the engineering context and human-centered boundary behind it.
